Abstract

In March 2022, Makassar Municipality experienced 0.49 percent inflation with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.99.
Inflation in Makassar Municipality occurred due to a significant increase in prices, in the food, beverage and tobacco groups, which was 0.99 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.89 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.83 percent; transportation group by 0.46 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.16 percent; and clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, the health group; information, communication, and financial services group; recreation, sports and cultural groups; education group; and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group did not experience inflation or deflation phenomena.
