Abstract

In February 2024 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Makassar Municipality of 2.69 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.08.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by the increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 6.09 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.75 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.17 percent; health group by 2.27 percent; transportation group by 2.64 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.17 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.46 percent; education group by 2.22 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 1.26 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.19 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate of Makassar Municipality in February 2024 was 0.32 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Makassar City in February 2024 was 0.68 percent. 2024 amounted to 0.68 percent
