Abstract

In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Makassar Municipality was 0.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.84.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.26 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.14 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.84 percent; health group by 0.86 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.32 percent; education group by 1.17 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.18 percent; personal care and other services group by 7.28 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Makassar Municipality in January 2025 was 0.72 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Makassar Municipality in January 2025 was 0.72 percent.
