Development of Consumer Price Index/Inflation in Makassar City in March 2025

Abstract

In March 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Makassar Municipality was 0.46 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.00.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.26 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.54 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.68 percent; health group by 1.32 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.15 percent; education group by 0.93 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.53 percent; personal care and other services group by 9.06 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Makassar Municipality in March 2025 was 2.19 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Makassar Municipality in March 2025 was 0.37 percent.
